Picnic Technologies

Work on our customer facing Picnic store, implementing new features on a daily basis
Contribute to our React Native architecture and server-driven UI framework, with a focus on developer experience, performance optimization, and establishing best practices for scalable development
Collaborate with designers and product owners to create specifications for new features
Build out our backend-driven UI framework (developed in React Native) and transition existing functionalities from native to React Native whenever possible
Leverage your communication skills in a cross-functional team, including to mentor our amazing team of mobile engineers

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or equivalent
5+ years in full-time software development, of which 3+ in TypeScript, React, or React Native
Experience in shipping high-traffic applications
A willingness and desire to work with a variety of technologies
Hands-on experience with (unit) testing
A problem-solving mindset
The confidence to transform high-level business requirements into a technical plan
Experience working in a product-based company
The ability to coach fellow developers using a structured communication style
