About the role:
As a Lead Java Developer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow. This role requires a self-driven individual who can work in small, agile teams, collaborate effectively, and take initiative. If you have expertise in Java, JavaScript, JBuilder, MongoDB, and experience with LMS development, we’d love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Write highly testable, automatable and performant code over the whole SDLC using high coding standards and software best practices;
- Develop product, deliver features and updates according to the product roadmap;
- Develop and review feature design documents and provide inputs/update to specifications for the solution;
- Drive activities – daily meetings, planning, retrospectives, etc.;
- Set engineering standards in the team and help other team members adopt them;
- Line manager responsibilities – team’s professional and career development;
- Assists his team in daily work;
- Develop and Scale our cloud-based IAM training platform to support the growing user base;
- Modernize the LMS by implementing scalable, high-performance solutions;
- Collaborate Remotely with cross-functional teams while ensuring a well-coordinated workflow;
- Take Ownership of technical decisions and contribute to architectural improvements;
- Optimize Performance of backend services to enhance the learning experience;
- Implement Security Best Practices to align with IAM industry standards;
- Mentor and Guide junior developers and promote knowledge sharing;
- Occasional Travel to Denmark may be required based on project needs.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Java development, with expertise in Spring Boot, Hibernate, and Microservices;
- Strong experience with JavaScript, including frontend frameworks;
- Proficiency in JBuilder and MongoDB;
- Experience in building and scaling LMS platforms;
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a remote, collaborative environment;
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset;
- Good communication skills with a strong understanding of cultural diversity;
- Prior experience working for/with Danish employers or customers is a plus.
