Your Role

  • Develop and design robust security architectures for automotive systems, including secure boot mechanisms, secure flash storage, and cryptographic algorithms;
  • Define and implement security gating strategies to ensure that only authorized entities can access sensitive data and functionalities within the system;
  • Conduct comprehensive cybersecurity risk assessments and threat modeling exercises to identify potential vulnerabilities and risks in automotive systems;
  • Develop and implement security measures to mitigate cyber threats, including intrusion detection systems, secure communication protocols, and secure over-the-air (OTA) updates;
  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity regulations and standards, such as ISO/SAE 21434, ISO 26262, and NIST Cybersecurity Framework, in automotive cybersecurity solutions;
  • Conduct penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and security audits to validate compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices;
  • Apply expertise in software and embedded systems to design and implement security features and mechanisms, including OS, data, and memory protection, and debug security;
  • Utilize cybersecurity tools such as CANoe, Vector CANalyzer, Artemis (GuardKnox), and Argus Cyber Security Suite (Continental) for testing and validation of cybersecurity measures;
  • Leverage tools like Autoware, QakBot (Quantum), BlackBerry Jarvis, and Karamba Security Carwall for threat analysis, vulnerability scanning, and secure software development;
  • Implement security measures for peripheral devices and communication interfaces to prevent unauthorized access and tampering;
  • Configure and manage firewalls, and oversee patch management processes to ensure the security and integrity of automotive systems;
  • Collaborate with software architects and embedded systems engineers to ensure that security is integrated into the design and development process.

Your Background

  • Preferred Educational Background is Bachelors in engineering - Electronics/Communication/Instrumentation/Computer Science (Regular education);
  • Exp range between 8 – 15 years with exposure to embedded automotive software architecture design;
  • Hands on experience in embedded SW development using C on 16/32 bit microcontrollers;
  • Exp with AutoSAR architecture- BSW, OS, MCAL;
  • Min 2 year of exp in design and development with Cybersecurity architecture for Automotive domain;
  • Expertise in at least 1 microcontroller architectures with HSM module: Renesas RH family, Infineon Aurix or NXP Racerunner or similar architecture;
  • Hands on experience in serial communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Flexray, Ethernet);
  • Automotive Product Development Process knowledge (ASpice, ISO26262);
  • Working knowledge of SW development tools for Designing, Unit testing, Configuration Management and Requirement Management Tools;
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
