Job overview:

As a Technical Project Lead specializing in ERP Systems, you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the technical aspects of ERP implementation projects within our organization. You will be responsible for leading a virtual team of technical experts, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring the successful execution of ERP initiatives to meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Coordination:

Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets for ERP implementation projects.
Coordinate project activities, resources, and dependencies to ensure timely delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.

Technical Leadership:

Provide technical expertise and guidance in the design, development, and implementation of ERP solutions.
Lead a virtual team of technical specialists, including developers, system architects, and integration experts, to deliver high-quality solutions.
Define technical standards, best practices, and methodologies for ERP system implementation and maintenance.

Stakeholder Management:

Collaborate with business stakeholders, including department heads, process owners, and end-users, to understand requirements and priorities.
Communicate project status, milestones, and risks to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate project success.

Quality Assurance and Testing:

Develop and implement test plans and strategies to ensure the quality and reliability of ERP systems.
Conduct thorough testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of ERP solutions to identify and resolve technical issues.
Establish processes for user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure that solutions meet business requirements and user expectations.

Documentation and Training:

Create technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, configuration guides, and user manuals.
Provide training and support to end-users and technical teams on ERP system functionality, configuration, and maintenance.
Ensure knowledge transfer and documentation of lessons learned for future reference and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience (5 years) in technical project management, with a focus on ERP system implementation.
In-depth knowledge of ERP platforms such as Workday, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Solid understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft Project).
Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) and ERP systems is a plus.
