Job overview:
As a Technical Project Lead specializing in ERP Systems, you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the technical aspects of ERP implementation projects within our organization. You will be responsible for leading a virtual team of technical experts, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring the successful execution of ERP initiatives to meet business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Coordination:
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets for ERP implementation projects.
- Coordinate project activities, resources, and dependencies to ensure timely delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
Technical Leadership:
- Provide technical expertise and guidance in the design, development, and implementation of ERP solutions.
- Lead a virtual team of technical specialists, including developers, system architects, and integration experts, to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Define technical standards, best practices, and methodologies for ERP system implementation and maintenance.
Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, including department heads, process owners, and end-users, to understand requirements and priorities.
- Communicate project status, milestones, and risks to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate project success.
Quality Assurance and Testing:
- Develop and implement test plans and strategies to ensure the quality and reliability of ERP systems.
- Conduct thorough testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of ERP solutions to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Establish processes for user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure that solutions meet business requirements and user expectations.
Documentation and Training:
- Create technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, configuration guides, and user manuals.
- Provide training and support to end-users and technical teams on ERP system functionality, configuration, and maintenance.
- Ensure knowledge transfer and documentation of lessons learned for future reference and continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience (5 years) in technical project management, with a focus on ERP system implementation.
- In-depth knowledge of ERP platforms such as Workday, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft Project).
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) and ERP systems is a plus.
