Head of Infrastructure & Cybersecurity

Main objectives:
- Ensure availability, scalability and security of IT infrastructure to support business operations;
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity policies to protect enterprise data, systems, and applications;
- Optimize the operational efficiency of the IT department by balancing limited resources with business needs;
- Ensure compliance with applicable cybersecurity regulations and standards.
Main responsibilities:
IT Infrastructure Management.
- Oversee the management and maintenance of the enterprise IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage systems, and cloud services;
- Plan and coordinate technology upgrades to ensure business continuity and infrastructure modernization;
- Manage vendors and service contracts for infrastructure and technology (cloud providers, data centers, networking, etc.).
Cybersecurity
- Define and implement cybersecurity policies to prevent, detect and respond to potential threats;
- Ensure implementation of protection solutions, including firewalls, antivirus, monitoring tools, and vulnerability management systems;
- Manage security incident response procedures and coordinate any internal and external communications;
- Train and educate corporate employees on cybersecurity best practices.
IT Operations and Support
- Monitor the performance of IT systems and services to ensure availability and support for end users;
- Support the IT team in managing support tickets, resolving critical issues, and overseeing day-to-day operations;
- Automate and optimize IT processes to improve operational efficiency.
Compliance and Governance
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards and guidelines (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST2);
- Manage periodic security and IT infrastructure audits;
- Draft documentation and reports for management, highlighting risks, vulnerabilities, and mitigation plans.
Leadership and Team Management
- Coordinate the IT team to ensure that business and technology goals are met;
- Prioritize activities and projects, balancing resources and workloads;
- Promote professional growth of team members through training and coaching.
Requirements:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCNP, AWS Solutions Architect) are a plus;
- At least 5-7 years of experience in IT roles with focus on infrastructure and security;
- Experience managing small IT teams, preferably in dynamic and resource-constrained environments.
Technical Skills
- In-depth knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux), virtualization environments (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud);
- Familiarity with cybersecurity tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection);
- Networking skills (firewall, VPN, SD-WAN) and management of local/business networks;
- Knowledge of security regulations and standards (GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST).
Transversal Skills
- Leadership and team management skills;
- Problem-solving and decision-making orientation;
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, to interface with technical and non-technical stakeholders;
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
