Fab Reporting Business Analyst

As a Fab Reporting Business Analyst your primary task is to translate business processes from the Fab related to operational data, and to build data products and reports. You interact with a lot of stakeholders and translate needs into clear user requirements and reporting proposals.
What you will do
- Your primary task will be to understand needs and business processes from the Fab related to operational data, and to build data products and reports that allow the different departments of the Fab to steer their operations.
- To that end, you interact with many people throughout and outside the Fab organization to understand what they are trying to accomplish, you translate their needs into clear user requirements and reporting proposals.
- You create prototypes and/or wireframes to validate proposals with requesters.
- You define report performance, latency and data retention requirements.
- You perform integration testing and user acceptance testing (in collaboration with the business) for the created reports.
- You create user documentation for the created reports and data products.
- You provide business support for the users of the reports and data products, including investigating and resolving issues that don’t require ICT involvement and training/coaching of users.
- You collaborate closely with solution architects and data engineers in ICT for the reports and data projects that need their involvement.
Who you are
- You have a Master’s degree in Engineering (e.g. in Electronics, Materials science or Chemistry), Exact Sciences, Computer Sciences, or equal by experience.
- You have minimum 2 years experience with data analysis, manipulation, visualization or data modelling for analytics (e.g., Kimball)
- Prior experience with relational databases, SQL or Power Query/Power BI is a strong asset.
- Prior experience with self-service BI is a strong asset.
- You have prior experience in manufacturing or the process industry. You understand data objects like workpiece, process flow, measurement results and how these are connected. Prior experience in or knowledge of semiconductor processing is a strong asset.
- You have strong (technical) communication skills. You are an engaged listener, able to detect the needs of your internal stakeholders.
- You have a pro-active approach and initiate actions when needed. You are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and dive right into the action.
- You can work autonomously, take initiative and are capable to plan and organize your own work.
- Since you will be working in a highly international environment and will be maintaining a good contact with colleagues and co-workers from all over the world, fluency in English is essential.
