Joining us as an Mid/Senior IT Business Analyst (Agile), you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver digital solutions aligned with the needs of our high-profile EU and Public Sector clients. Your expertise will bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring the successful implementation of agile methodologies and IT solutions.
As a Mid/Senior IT Business Analyst you will be involved in:
- Agile Facilitation: Facilitate Agile practices (Scrum/Kanban) to ensure smooth collaboration between teams;
- Requirements Gathering: Engage with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements, ensuring alignment with project goals Participate in customer workshops to gather business requirements and perform fit/gap analysis;
- Backlog Management: Translate business requirements into user stories, prioritize them, and maintain a well-organized product backlog;
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a liaison between stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring business needs are clearly communicated and expectations are accurately reflected in the deliverables;
- System Customization: Map user requirements to system capabilities, configure software modules, and coordinate customizations with the development team;
- Sprint Planning & Reviews: Participate in sprint planning, and reviews, ensuring the development process stays on track and aligns with stakeholder objectives;
- Process Optimization: Identify areas for process improvement within the team and the broader project, proposing solutions that enhance efficiency and delivery speed;
- User Testing: Support and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by preparing test cases, assisting with execution, and ensuring that business requirements are met;
- Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including user manuals, technical specifications, and status reports for stakeholders and project teams.
Qualifications
What would make you a fit for the role:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a relative discipline; a master’s degree in these areas and advanced certifications in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP) or Product Ownership (e.g., CSPO) are desirable;
- 2+ years of professional experience as a Business Analyst, particularly with large-scale software implementation projects for European Institutions or the Public Sector;
- Expertise in Agile methodologies, Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN), and Business Rules Management;
- Strong ability to gather and document complex business requirements and translate them into actionable technical specifications;
- Experience in coordinating and executing user testing activities;
- ideally with expertise or familiarity with techniques such as Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), User Stories definition, Story Mapping, and the use of personas and feature files (Gherkin);
- Strong client-facing skills combined with analytical and problem-solving abilities;
- Effective communication and proficient presentation abilities;
- Excellent organizational capabilities with attention to detail;
- Fast learning skills and quick adaptation to complex business environments;
- Fluency in the English language.
It would also be a plus if you match some of the following:
- Familiarity with microservices architecture, RESTful web services, and asynchronous communication methods (e.g., Apache Kafka) will be considered an asset;
- Background in IT consulting, ERP consulting, or experience in manual or automation testing, as well as software development.
