Continental is looking for a highly-skilled Backend Developer to work within their eCommerce, Fleet Solutions, and Data Science Information Technology Competence Center. With this job, you join the global team working on our product ContiConnect, a digital tire monitoring platform for commercial fleets around the world.

Main Responsibilities

Closely collaborate with ContiConnect DevOps team members based in Europe to provide production support for the global web and mobile application ContiConnect;
Develop new features;
Efficiently debug and resolve technical issues;
Compile technical documentation and user assistance material;
Follow Scrum/Agile methodologies;

Your profile

University Degree in Computer Science, IT or related field;
3 years of experience in Java programming, ideally Spring Boot;
Experience with client-server applications and microservice architecture;
Experience supporting and operating a multi-user software system;
Profound knowledge of relational databases and SQL;
Analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills;
Software Engineering skills;
ITSM experience is a plus;
Experience with Apache Kafka is a plus;
Basic Linux shell knowledge is a plus;
Angular 14+ knowledge is a plus;
Proficient with continuous integration tools such as git, Jenkins, SonarQube;
Experience with Docker/Kubernetes environment;
Ability to communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders and strategic partners;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English;
Excellent organizational skills;
Able to work independently as part of a global team.
