Purpose of the position

As an IT support engineer you will join the IT operations team. You are responsible for the proper functioning of the workspace IT infrastructure and provide first- and second-line support to our end users with IT problems. You carry out installations and assist with maintenance of those systems. You are responsible for user access management, the Google Workspace environment, as well as device management and the management of the laptops of all employees.

Using our service desk tool, you monitor all incidents and service requests. As part of the role, you will also be in contact with our external partners and take care of the coordination within the incident operation.

What will you do

Manage the IT systems together with the system engineers and external partners;
Be the point of contact for IT problems and incidents;
Be a real problem solver and hands-on engineer;
Have sufficient general knowledge of IT (networks, storage, server management, desktop applications, etc.);
Work together with the IT colleagues and the IT Manager to elevate the internal IT services of Robovision.

Who are you?

You have a bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent through experience;
Knowledge of Windows OS and Ubuntu (or other Linux distributions) should be under your belt;
Knowledge of Mac OS is a plus;
You are familiar with Google Workspace suite, laptop management and terms such as DNS, DHCP and networking (patching and switching);
Knowledge of Google GCloud, Azure and AWS are a plus;
You are a team player and customer-oriented, providing excellent service to internal users, both by telephone/digitally and on-site;
Problem-solving, taking responsibility, proactive mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment;
You can solve high priority incidents as quickly as possible;
Living at commuting distance from Ghent, and having a permanent work permit;
You stay informed of the latest IT trends and IT technologies and you apply them where possible.
