The Opportunity

We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Quality Assurance Engineer with a strong background in embedded software and a keen interest in electronic components. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards in our embedded software products, with a particular focus on the integration and functionality of electronic components. This role requires a blend of software testing expertise and a solid understanding of electronics to effectively identify, analyze, and resolve quality issues.

You will make an impact by

Embedded Software Testing:

Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for embedded software systems;
Perform functional, regression, and performance testing to ensure software reliability and performance;
Utilize automated testing tools and frameworks to enhance testing efficiency.

Electronic Component Integration:

Collaborate with hardware engineers to understand the integration of electronic components within the embedded system;
Test and validate the interaction between software and electronic components to ensure seamless functionality;
Identify and troubleshoot issues related to electronic components and their impact on software performance.

Quality Assurance Processes:

Develop and maintain QA documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports;
Implement and adhere to QA processes and best practices to ensure consistent product quality;
Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to developers to improve code quality.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, hardware engineers, and product managers, to ensure alignment on quality objectives;
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on testing progress, issues, and resolutions;
Advocate for quality throughout the product development lifecycle.

The talent we want to inspire has

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field;
Proven experience in quality assurance, particularly in testing embedded software systems;
Strong understanding of electronic components and their integration within embedded systems;
Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks;
Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or similar;
Familiarity with embedded systems development and debugging tools;
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality products;
Effective communication and teamwork skills.

This would be a plus but not a must!

Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing;
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to embedded systems and electronic components.
