The Role

We're seeking a versatile Software Architect to join our climate tech startup. The ideal candidate will have a blend of architectural design skills, DevOps expertise, and hands-on software engineering experience.

Your responsibilities in AIRMO

Your tasks will include, but are not limited to:

Design and implement high-level architecture for our data processing pipeline;
Lead DevOps initiatives, ensuring smooth deployment and operation of our systems;
Adapt and integrate existing scripts and notebooks into production-ready components;
Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to optimize our machine learning workflows;
Drive technical decision-making and best practices across the organization.

What you should bring to AIRMO

The ideal candidate will have:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field;
5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on distributed systems;
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (preferably AWS);
Proficiency in Python and experience with data processing frameworks;
Familiarity with machine learning workflows and MLOps practices;
Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

Requirements

The minimum requirements for applicants include:

Experience in climate tech or environmental science projects;
Knowledge of geospatial data processing;
Familiarity with satellite imagery analysis;
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
