Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of our back-end and front-end web applications.

The QA Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing tests, debugging, and defining corrective actions, as well as reviewing system requirements and tracking quality assurance metrics.

A key aspect of this role involves conducting tests before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly, meets client needs, and remains cost-effective. Our ideal candidate will possess a background in both software development and quality assurance, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases;
  • Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback;
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities;
  • Design, develop and execute automation scripts;
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs;
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved;
  • Work with the US-based Quality Lead to develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs;
  • Coordinate with stakeholders and identify system requirements;
  • Monitor debugging process results;
  • Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions;
  • Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts;
  • Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies.

Skills:

  • Proven work experience in software quality assurance;
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes;
  • Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases;
  • Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing;
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools;
  • Knowledge and experience with SQL and scripting;
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process;
  • Experience with performance and/or security testing;
  • Proven work experience in software development;
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject;
  • Candidate must have experience as member of the SCRUM team on the same/similar position (QA/Test Automation);
  • We are expecting candidate with more than 3 years of Test Automation experiences on the level as the test programmer, not only user;
  • Technology stack is variable, more important is to be willing and open to learn new technologies. (AZURE, JavaScript, Python, Bash, PowerShell, GIT, Some Relational and non REL DBs);
  • Experience with Testing Framework PlayWright + JavaScript is an advantage;
  • Can be valuable to have some experience with Python (not mandatory);
  • Candidate must be able to work with standard collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence, GIT or SVN);
  • Candidate must have some experiences with some IDE (we are using MS Studio CODE).
