Senior Cloud Validation & Testing Engineer

As a Senior Cloud Validation and Testing Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining and executing automated tests for cloud-native services in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

How You Will Contribute

Develop automated tests for cloud-native applications and services to supplement Skylo Core Network;
Develop, maintain and execute test plans;
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment processes with a strong DevOps mindset;
Provide periodic feedback to development teams and document all the aspects of different phases of testing and results including system release versions, demo, lab, PoC, and production network deployments.

What We Look For

Minimum 5 years software engineering/testing experience, preferably in the telecommunication related industry;
Proficiency in scripting languages such as python;
Strong experience in testing and validating RESTful APIs;
Experience with automated testing, debugging, and performance tuning using Jenkins, Robot etc.;
Strong experience with Pub/Sub messaging systems such as RabbitMQ or Google Pub/Sub;
Strong experience with cloud platforms (e.g.Google Cloud) and cloud-native technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker);
Solid understanding of microservices architecture and experience in building microservices-based applications;
Experience with both relational (e.g. postgres) and NoSQL databases (e.g. redis);
Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments;
Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git);
Highly collaborative, with excellent communication skills, and able to work independently;
Knowledge with telecommunication systems (4G/5G), especially in and around Evolved Packet Core. (bonus points);
Familiarity with DevOps tools and methodologies;
Experience with Cloud-Native Telemetry Tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
