About The Role

As a Senior Product Manager at ThousandEyes, you will be responsible for our API and OpenTelemetry product area, as well as helping scale our licensing provisioning system. Your mission will be to lead a charge towards an API-first mindset across the product, helping our customers scale their use of the product by leveraging easy to use and extensible API’s. You will also provide support for our licensing provisioning system, getting deep into the technical details of how our system works and becoming a subject matter expert.

What You’ll Do

Work directly across the product organization to drive an API first mentality across product and engineering.
Identify opportunities for improvement across our API and OTEL infrastructure, ensuring our customers have the best possible developer experience.
Deep dive into our provisioning system and become a subject matter expert in the space, identifying areas for improvement and building better processes with the team.
Bring an entrepreneurial spirit and a focus on data driven insights to help build a long term strategy for the team.
Generate and shepherd creative ideas, both large and small, that bring value to customers and the business.
Stay hands-on with customers to keep them happy today, while gaining insight for future ideas.
Thoughtfully prioritize to maximize the impact of organizational effort.

Technical Acumen: You will work closely with engineering to understand technical tradeoffs and their impact on the product. Being comfortable in the code is a plus, but not required.

Qualifications

Proven product management experience (at least 3+ years), with demonstrated success in product delivery, ideally at an Enterprise SaaS company (even better if in an Internet Infrastructure company).
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent technical experience, higher level degree (MBA, MS, etc.) a bonus but not required.
Excellent verbal and written skills and the willingness to present and defend your ideas.
Customer-focused, self-starter with high levels of initiative, commitment, energy, and comfort working in ambiguous environments.
A collaborative spirit and comfort working in a team environment.
Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
Exceptional project management skills with a focus on operational excellence.
Experience with OpenTelemetry, API architecture, and other technical concepts.
