Major Accountabilities:

  • Lead a team of System Engineers assigned to the development of Next Generation Active Safety Vision Components and Products;
  • In this role, you are in particular responsible for:
    • Support ETM in estimation and planning of the system resources required for the development of the cameras;
    • Priorization, planning and tracking of the necessary system team activities with the objective to meet the project goals in regards to project timing, costs and quality;
    • Support interface to the customer and suppliers for all technical questions in the system scope of the developed product;
    • Interface to the other competencies leads inside the projects for all technical questions in the system scope of the developed product;
    • Managing and tracking all activities in regards to analysis and clarification, evaluation and resolution of system issues;
    • Ensuring on time completion of system work products both with regard to customer milestones and APTIV internal milestones related to APTIVs product development process (PDP);
    • Ensuring that system activities comply with APTIV processes and methods;
    • Taking care of confidential information and company’s property;
    • On-time execution of assigned tasks;
    • Attract, recruit and retain new talents (out of interns).
  • Build & maintain business relationships with our customers’ engineering teams;
  • Cooperation in the continuous improvement of systems processes and methods;
  • Support the System Engineers & Interns: develop, evaluate, motivate, train, manage, recognize team members.

Requirements:

  • Masters Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Automatics and Robotics, Telecommunication, Computer Science or other related field;
  • Minimum or 3 - 5 years’ experience in the similar area;
  • Familiarity with system engineering, V-Model, ASPICE, requirements management, and system architecture;
  • Familiarity with estimation, planning, and managing project team;
  • Ability to work with a global program team;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills (English);
  • Willingness to travel.
