The role is an exciting opportunity within this group to work on the development and support of battery management system solutions for electric vehicles of the future. These systems comprise of hardware, software, wireless communication, security, safety and algorithms. Given the complexity of this system product this role offers a wide range of opportunity for technical growth.

This role would be particularly suited to someone with experience in the development or support of complex SoCs and associated software. Experience in the development or support of system solutions comprising of hardware, network connectivity software and application software is desirable. Experience in leading the early technical engagement with key Customers, in particular automotive OEMs or tier1s is also desirable.

This role requires an energetic and motivated individual with strong communication, organization, and technical skills who works well in a multi-disciplinary team and is excited about working on cutting edge automotive technology for electric vehicles of the future.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to automotive OEMs and Tier1s in integrating ADI system solutions and SoCs into their system.
  • Work with internal cross functional teams on system definition and integration of SoC as part of a broader automotive system solution comprising of silicon products and software.
  • Design of customer application platforms comprising of hardware and software for competitive assessment, system evaluation and demonstration.
  • Support design-in activities and drive root cause analyses of field returns.
  • Develop technical collateral (application notes, articles, etc.) to make our products easier to use at the customer.
  • Drive go to market activities for automotive SoCs and overall system solutions.
  • Support development of pre-silicon platforms to allow customers to start developing their solutions from existing silicon and/or FPGA.
  • Work closely with other INP teams to understand customer needs and drive new product requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in electronic engineering or a related field.
  • Expertise in low power SoC development or support.
  • Hands-on experience with microcontroller/microprocessor architectures, especially ARM.
  • Strong knowledge of debugging & fault finding on microcontroller hardware and firmware.
  • Understanding of functional safety concepts, architecture and lifecycle in particular as applied to SoCs.
  • Embedded C and python scripting experience.
  • Experience in automotive OEM and tier 1 customer engagement and product support a strong advantage.
  • Experience as an Applications Lead on an SoC product development an advantage.
  • Practical experience in communication protocols such as I2C, SPI and CAN bus.
  • Expertise in SW architecture for automotive MCUs (MCAL of AutoSAR) and security an advantage.
  • Working knowledge of low power wireless networks an advantage.
  • Experience in Battery Management Systems an advantage.
