What you’ll be doing:

We are looking for an Automotive SW Architect for our Autonomous Vehicles unit in Gothenburg. You will work closely with automotive customers incl. OEMs and Tier1s. You will be part of the automotive systems software division which is responsible for the actual development and integration of our automated driving HW and SW solutions into our customers’ vehicles and products.

Your tasks include:

  • Develop a thorough understanding of NVIDIA's core autonomous driving stack (DriveAV, including architecture and SW components) and contribute to the definition of any changes that might be needed to integrate it in customer projects.
  • Be the first point of contact for Swedish OEMs and Tier1s, driving discussions and providing expert knowledge regarding our DriveAV components including neural networks for computer vision, ego motion estimation, radar and lidar perception, localization, data fusion, world model and path planning components.
  • Provide first level debug and analysis capabilities for any issues or bugs related to the DriveAV stack components and autonomous driving functions. Contribute to the further development and improvement of the SW by regularly interfacing with core development teams in US, Germany and India.
  • Support system testing activities including performing test runs in actual vehicles and hardware in the loop (HIL) units. Provide qualified and precise feedback about current SW maturity and capabilities to worldwide development teams.

What we need to see:

  • MS or PhD in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science.
  • 5+ years of work related experience in embedded software development, machine learning and computer vision.
  • You have a strong track record of C, C++, python programming experience.
  • You have a general understanding of vehicle architectures, vehicle communication buses (CAN, ethernet, etc.).
  • You have a general understanding of the main SW components used in ADAS and self-driving cars (perception, world models, path planning, etc.)
  • You have a strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • You are fluent in English, both verbal and written.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • You have worked with automotive Tier1s and OEMs.
  • Knowledge of automotive sensor suppliers for vision products (imagers, serializers and de-serializers, ISPs), radars and lidars.
  • You have participated in the development of complex automotive SW products ideally including products using Linux, QNX, Hypervisor based solutions.
  • You are familiar with automotive development standards and norms including Automotive SPICE, ISO26262, SOTIF ISO/PAS 21448 as well as MISRA C coding rules.
  • Experience working with Deep Learning software architecture and frameworks including Caffe, Theano, Tensorflow, Convnet, cuDNN, Torch or other Deep Learning Frameworks.
  • You have worked in projects using agile development methods like scrum and have experience with the large scale agile approaches like SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework)
  • Experience with onsite and offsite customer support.
  • You are flexible and willing to travel as required.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills, with a logical approach to problem solving, good time management and task prioritization.
  • You are dedicated and able to work with a minimum of supervision.
  • You have Swedish language skills.
