The Site Manager function is a both a technical and managerial/administrative position in IT, and requires a broad knowledge of the IT function. This role leads the IT support function at an Administrative office or a Manufacturing facility. The position reports to an IT director.


Responsible for direct IT support at 2 facilities (1 manufacturing/R&D facility in Dublin and Headquarters facility in London). Also responsible for remote support for field based personnel and remote offices in Europe. Coordinate ISO:27000 activities at the Dublin location in regard to audits and following up of findings. Responsible for each site’s information technology functions including technology implementation, support, and problem resolution. Collaborate with site leadership to ensure alignment of information technology with business needs and communicate needs to Corporate IT. Develop or contribute to the development of capital project requests to fund the implementation of technology solutions. Support IT security objectives regarding the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and data. Develop plans to ensure the continuity of critical site IT systems and minimize information loss in the event of a disaster. Represent Corporate IT for implementation and support of Applications and Technology. Ensure the sites are compliant with all corporate IT technology standards, policies, and procedures. Work with third party suppliers - tenders, contracts and SLAs - to ensure business requirements are met and continuity of services.


Participate in staff meetings and team meetings as required. Develop understanding of general industry usage of supported technologies. Develop basic understanding of business processes and business dependencies on supported technologies. Develop relationships within I/S and with supported customers to improve collaboration and teamwork necessary to accomplish organizational objectives. Participate in a development planning process, where employee career goals are defined & understood and development activities are incorporated into the employee objectives.   • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related business field.


  • 7 Years Information Systems Experience.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT field (computer science, information systems, etc.) with a minimum 7 years of experience in IT Infrastructure at a manufacturing facility. Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, including FDA validation experience, is a plus.


  • Technical Proficiency - Extensive working experience with mobile device/PC/server hardware and operating systems, data backup and recovery. Knowledge of active directory, server virtualization technologies, networking, storage management, data security, and disaster recovery planning. Additionally, experience in support or coordinating support for applications including Jira, Trackwise and other site specific applications;
  • Analytical Abilities - Has advanced problem-solving skills including working collaboratively with peer technical teams to analyze & resolve cross-platform problems or to develop problem-solving techniques, tools & instruction for new or complex technologies;
  • Business Knowledge - Strong understanding of how supported technologies are used in the business operations, consistently uses this knowledge effectively in daily support and handling unusual/critical issues;
  • Knowledge of business applications support and usage in a manufacturing facility and/or R&D facility. Examples would include ELN, LIMS, ERP, etc.;
  • Communication skills - Strong verbal & written communication skills; Communications are complete & understandable to target audience; demonstrates effective listening skills; regularly handles difficult customers or situations effectively requiring sensitivity and diplomacy;
  • Independence - Often works independently with only general direction; appropriately keeps management informed of relevant issues;
  • Operational Support - Manages the daily operations of the IT function supporting a facility that typically handles.
