Lead the Bluetooth Applications team to support customers using Bluetooth Low Energy and Bluetooth Mesh wireless stacks as well as Apple HomeKit, Bluetooth Direction Finding and Dynamic Multiprotocol solutions;
Collaborate with software engineering and marketing teams on product evaluations and new product definitions;
Participate in the product launch process by leading the applications team to create and maintain technical collateral (application notes, technical articles, white papers, training, etc.);
Prioritize with the marketing and field team and assign support to meet goals and objectives;
Provide guidance, mentoring and direct supervision to global team members;
Provide hands-on technical leadership and training for applications engineers;
Create new processes and programs to drive efficiency and effectiveness of the team;
Generate and deliver training material for Silicon Labs global sales and field marketing engineer.
What are the required skills or experience?
Ability to work as a self-starter in a fast-paced environment in a quickly evolving market space;
Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals and methodologies;
Strong embedded C programming skills;
Working knowledge of wireless technologies and protocols (Z-Wave, Bluetooth, Zigbee, etc.);
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Fluency in English;
Ability to communicate effectively with remote sites spanning multiple time zones;
Strong experience providing technical support to customers;
Experienced in the use of industry standard tools for customer support and team project management;
Proven ability to effectively recruit, manage, and retain employees;
Strong people management skills needed to mentor, motivate and empower global team members.
What is the required education and/or experience?
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering;
Minimum of 7 years of work experience in an applicable industry;
