Senior Compiler Engineer

Senior Compiler Engineer

Nvidia

Zurich, Reading or Munich

The NVIDIA PhysX SDK team is hiring! We are looking for a low-level systems programmer to help create both the front and back-ends for our compiler technologies. Raise the bar for our shading languages by adding richer language features. Turbocharge language runtime performance by writing optimized, platform-specific back-ends.

What we need to see:

  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience;
  • Expert C++ programming skills: You have worked on large software projects as part of an agile team and used continuous integration;
  • GPU parallel programming experience with HLSL, GLSL, and CUDA;
  • Deep familiarity with Intel and AMD CPU generations, multithreading and SIMD;
  • Experience writing compilers, interpreters and/or virtual machines;
  • Experience using LLVM is a huge plus.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Passionate about programming languages and compilers;
  • Excited to learn about new platforms and figuring out how to get the best possible performance out of them;
  • Flexible, willing to change directions quickly when requirements shift;
  • Self-sufficient, going out to determine how you can help rather than waiting for a specific assignment.
