Job Overview

TE Connectivity Sensor Solutions (TESS) Bergen is looking for a Senior Software Engineer (m/f/d). We are a world leader in the application of ultrasound for fluid measurement for on-road and off-road vehicles. We are currently developing the next generation sensor and are looking for a highly competent and engaged colleague to join our SW engineering team. The position is at the core of the of the TESS Bergen Engineering organization competence and you will play an important role in our efforts to ensure that TESS continues to lead the SCR fluid sensor business.

You will actively participate in product development in a small team of highly competent engineers. The position reports to the Software Engineering Manager, TE Connectivity Sensor Solutions.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities include:

  • Analyze requirements and create appropriate documented design;
  • Design, implement, test and validate software for embedded systems, by using Agile methodologies, to ensure the company’s sensor solution meet functional and performance requirements;
  • Algorithm design and development related to digital signal processing;
  • Analyze and understand existing products and their implementation to determine best design and method to add and/or change features and functionality;
  • Actively engage with systems engineers to contribute to overall systems design;
  • Participate in discussions with customers as necessary to ensure requirements are understood and to communicate system engineering requirements to the customer;
  • Execute relevant tasks and prepare documentation as required by the internal development process.

Qualifications

  • MSc Degree in Physics/Software Engineering/Cybernetics or similar;
  • Proven work experience in software development life cycle (V-cycle) from requirements to production and maintenance;
  • Extensive knowledge of C/C++ for embedded solutions;
  • Good understanding of 32bits microcontrollers and microarchitectures;
    • Relevant experience using an interpreted language (e.g. Python/Matlab);
  • Ability to use version control software such as GIT and SVN;
    • Experience with digital signal processing, software filters and RTOS;
  • Experience working with Agile development methodologies like TDD, XP, CI, Scrum/Kanban;
  • Experience in developing applications for Windows is a plus;
  • Fluent in English.
