Overview

You make sure each configuration is tuned according to the business needs and compliant to the security policy. You enable continuous innovation by proposing new processes or architecture improvement.

You support the end users and the IT Managers of the IT infrastructure, understand their business processes, provide them accurate answers and improve our customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Guarantee the optimal operational status of the whole server infrastructure;
  • Monitor the availability of the production systems;
  • Diagnose and correct the issues in this scope;
  • Develop your skills by preparing and tuning the production as well as lab environments;
  • Deploy new features, improve existing processes and technical architectures;
  • Lead the user acceptance tests on functional and technical aspects;
  • Maintain working knowledge related to all the products and technologies deployed in the production environments, as well as develop knowledge of relevant emerging technologies in the industry.

Technical environment:

  • Server administration Windows Server, CentOS and Redhat Linux, Sun and IBM Servers;
  • Storage administration and provisioning (Dell, NetApp, EMC);
  • Virtualization platforms administration (VMWare).

Qualifications

Key Competencies:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Fluent in English;
  • Effective problem-solving skills with strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize;
  • Ability to work effectively within a team in a dynamic environment;
  • Self-starting and self-motivated with a high level of initiative;
  • High level of ownership, autonomy and accountability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor (4-year) degree, with a technical major, such as engineering in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent work experience;
  • 5 + years’ experience in system administration;
  • Strong knowledge of server administration with operating system (linux/Unix/Sun/HPUX/Windows);
  • Proven experience in Active Directory management;
  • 5 + years’ experience in VMWare virtualization environments;
  • 5 + years’ experience in Storage administration (NetApp, EMC, Dell);
  • Desirable experience in Oracle and MS SQLServer cluster database administration;
  • General knowledge in network connectivity & communication protocols;
  • The ability to work in an international company with coworkers from all areas of the globe is mandatory;
  • Occasional, short travels (up to one week) are to be expected, both in the Europe and potentially the USA.
