What you'll be doing:

We are looking for experienced Automotive System Software Engineer whose talents include understand the "big picture" as well as the details. The person will work closely with external and internal software groups to design, develop, and implement software and systems that will pull together diverse SW components as the platform of advanced cockpit or driving platforms.

You will work closely with automotive customers incl. OEMs and Tier1s within the field of self-driving cars. You will be part of the automotive systems software division which is responsible for the actual development and integration of our automated driving HW and SW solutions into our customers’ vehicles and products.

Your tasks include:

  • Understand and influence the customer’s vehicle architecture incl. E/E and vehicle communication networks;
  • Support the definition and selection of sensors and compute platforms for automated driving applications incl. cameras, radars, lidars, ultrasonics, etc.– Define and configure the interfaces to vehicle actuators incl. braking systems, motor control units and steering systems;
  • Define system level requirements for integration of NVIDIA's Drive AGX Pegasus platform and all Xavier SoC derived products into the vehicle;
  • Provide technical support, bring up customer hardware, debug and resolve system issues (including regular onsite support). Ensure that NVIDIA HW and SW solutions are properly integrated and working in customer products;
  • Collaborate with engineering teams in our US, APAC, India and Europe locations.

What we need to see:

  • You have a deep understanding of automotive E/E architectures and are familiar with the different ECUs and vehicle buses (CAN, Flexray, Ethernet, LIN, etc.);
  • You have experience in the development of embedded systems, including formulating system level requirements, designs and architectures;
  • You understand the various automotive design processes and norms including the V-model, Automotive Spice, Functional Safety ISO26262, SOTIF ISO/PAS 21448;
  • You have a general understanding of the main SW technologies used in ADAS and self-driving cars (computer vision, deep learning, path planning, etc.);
  • You have fluent English language skills.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • You have participated in the development of complex automotive SW products ideally including products based on Linux, QNX, Hypervisor based solutions;
  • You are experienced with requirements based work (traceability, testing, etc.). You have used requirements management tools like DOORS or JAMA;
  • You have worked in the validation and verification of ADAS or self-driving car systems, including hands-on vehicle testing, hardware in the loop (HIL) testing, rest bus simulations, etc.;
  • You are knowledgeable with the use of vehicle network analysis tools (e.g. CANanalyzer, CANape, CANoe);
  • You are experienced with the programming of vehicle communication gateways;
  • Experience with onsite and offsite customer support;
  • Flexibility and willing to travel as required;
  • You work effectively across different functional teams in different locations;
  • You demonstrate excellent written and oral interpersonal skills in English;
  • Excellent communication and organization skills, with a logical approach to problem solving, good time management and task prioritization;
  • You are dedicated and able to work with a minimum of supervision;
  • You have Swedish language skills and experience working with Swedish Automotive Tier1s and OEMs.
