Senior Manager, Cybersecurity Digital Forensics (SRO)

The Senior Manager, Digital Forensics will join Dell's Security & Resiliency Office with the responsibility to support Dell's Global Chief Security Officer in all matters of organizational management and execution. The ideal candidate will be adaptable and fast-moving, with the ability to independently lead projects in addition to being responsible for daily activities that ensure the overall health of the organization from an administrative and staff management perspective.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a technical forensics team responsible for identification, preservation, processing, production and disposition of electronically stored information for investigations and legal matters;
  • Maintains full accountability for all people-management activities for subordinate staff and responsible for establishing goals and objectives for the department;
  • Regularly interacts with senior leadership and customers;
  • Works cross-functionally with other leads in Cybersecurity, IT or business functions to meet project milestones and service levels;
  • Drives corporate programs and ensures deadlines are met while also ensuring that security goals and initiatives are successfully implemented;
  • Handles customer escalations and ensures best possible outcomes are achieved;
  • Develops complex solutions to business problems or customer engagements through in- depth analysis, coordination and negotiation with key decision makers;
  • Develops innovative solutions to problems without precedent;
  • Initiates new or revised departmental procedures, programs and initiatives;
  • Assesses and determines priorities within area of expertise;
  • Advises and counsels key leadership on the latest principles, practices, and/or technologies and their practical application;
  • Develops mutually beneficial strategic alliances with customers;
  • Ensures understanding of technical matters by non-technical, executive decision makers;
  • Influences a broad spectrum of stakeholders toward achieving business goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Security or related major with 12+ years relevant experience; or Master's degree with 8+ years relevant experience; or equivalent experience;
  • 4+ years of direct experience in the field of cybersecurity;
  • Experience with and understanding of advanced Digital Forensics tools and concepts;
  • Experience in large enterprise technology environments;
  • Familiar with providing investigative services in the cloud;
  • Thorough knowledge of all phases in the EDRM;
  • Understands what escalations are, and how to deal with them;
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively as part of larger matrixed organization;
  • Ability to quickly organize and direct virtual teams as necessary to accomplish goals;
  • Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior people management experience heavily preferred;
  • Project management or litigation experience a plus;
  • Knowledge of data hosting and review platforms a plus;
  • Familiar with European Data Privacy laws and the associated security requirements.
