We are looking for an experienced Automotive Systems Safety Expert whose talents include understanding the "big picture" as well as the details;
You will work closely with automotive customers incl. OEMs and Tier1s within the field of autonomous vehicles. You will be part of the automotive systems software division which is responsible for the actual development and integration of our automated driving HW and SW solutions into our customers’ vehicles and products.
Your tasks include:
Contribute to the definition and detailed specification of vehicle level automated driving functions with our Systems Engineering teams;
Develop a Hazard and Risk Analysis and a set of Safety Goals for these functions jointly with our project partners;
Derive a set of Functional Safety Requirements and Technical Safety Requirements, including ASIL decompositions, into the different HW and SW components of NVIDIA’s autonomous driving products;
Support the creation of system level safety FMEAs and FMEDAs;
Support/lead the role of Functional Safety Manager for autonomous driving projects, support/lead the creation of the project’s safety case;
Support our SW engineering teams with the application of SW development best practices according to the ISO26262 (chapter 6) norm;
Lead/participate in Functional Safety Assessments and Audits with major focus on SW development processes;
Coordinate the creation of Safety Development Interface Agreements with customers and partners;
Interface with engineering teams in our US, APAC, India and Europe locations.
What we need to see:
You have a proven track record with at least 8 years of work in embedded SW for automotive systems and at least 3 years leading automotive safety activities;
You have a deep knowledge of automotive Functional Safety standards incl. the ISO26262 and the SOTIF ISO/PAS 21448 norms, as well as the various automotive engineering standards incl. the V-model, A-SPICE, etc.;
You have developed or coordinated the development of automotive SW and are familiar with SW development best practices (MISRA C/C++, etc.);
You have experience tracking SW quality and complexity metrics (incl. static code analysis, cyclomatic complexity, branch coverage of unit testing, etc.) and associated SW tools (QA-Verify, QAC, etc.);
You are familiar with automotive safety diagnostics/monitoring concepts including redundancy, orthogonality, built-in self tests, CRCs, memory error correction methods, etc.;
You have a general understanding of the main SW technologies used in ADAS and self-driving cars (computer vision, deep learning, motion planning, etc.);
You have fluent English language skills.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
You have undergone Functional Safety trainings and/or certification (TÜV FSCP/FSCE, etc.);
You have participated in the development of complex automotive SW products ideally including products based on Linux or QNX and understand virtualization concepts like Hypervisor;
You are experienced with requirements based work (traceability, testing, etc.). You have used requirements management tools like DOORS or JAMA;
You have worked in the validation and verification of ADAS or self-driving car systems;
You are well experienced with customer interactions and are available for onsite and offsite customer support;
You are flexible and willing to travel as required;
You work effectively across different functional teams in different locations;
You demonstrate excellent written and oral interpersonal skills in English;
Excellent communication and organization skills, with a logical approach to problem solving, good time management and task prioritization;
You are dedicated and able to work with a minimum of supervision;
You have Swedish language skills and experience working with Swedish Automotive Tier1s and OEMs.
