We at Massive Entertainment are currently looking for a passionate Tech and Tools Lead to join us. Here you will have the opportunity to work with ambitious and talented colleagues. The Tech and Tools team on Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is working in the engine domain so a lot of the work you do will benefit other game projects using the Snowdrop engine. The Tech & Tools team makes all production tools for the game and this affects the way that games are build. When you improve our technology and the editor, the project will be able to deliver games faster and to greater quality.

You will lead a team of junior to senior developers. To succeed in this role will you be good at communicating your vision for the technology to your team members to be able to achieve results.

As our Lead you will:

  • Manage a team of engineers and provide them with technical mentorship and guidance;
  • Plan, organize, follow-up and evaluate the work of the team and its impact on the project;
  • Work with other department leads to establish tool related tasks and schedules;
  • Spend part of your time performing programming tasks as this is a hands-on role;
  • Collaborate with the support team for Snowdrop and keep them up-to-date with changes in the tools;
  • This is a permanent position based in Malmö, Sweden, and requires working onsite.

Qualifications

You are looking for a new opportunity and are driven to lead and develop a team. You have a several years’ experience as an engineer in tools and technology. As a lead you have a passion for coding and are well organized. You like to be on top of things, and you find the success of your team very important. It is important that you enjoy being a part of a fun and innovative environment where we make the best games. You are driven to support and mentor other people in their growth and development.

  • 5+ years of professional experience working in C and/or C++;
  • Ability to review and provide feedback to team members regarding their work in a clear and constructive manner;
  • Experience working as a team lead/technical lead/mentorship role is an advantage;
  • Experience of tools or user facing programs development is a plus;
  • Understanding of UX principles is also beneficial.
