What you will do:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive architecture blueprints, design patterns, and best practices for cloud solutions.
  • Advocate and promote architecture principles among peers and across the organization.
  • Engage directly with clients to understand their needs and craft tailored solutions during the project's initial phases.
  • Implement and uphold security best practices, collaborating closely with the security team to develop compliance standards.
  • Work in an Agile environment alongside platform engineers to construct robust cloud platforms.
  • Contribute your insights at architecture committees, collaborating with other group architects to enhance project outcomes.
  • Monitor and optimize the cloud infrastructure for enhanced performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Maintain awareness of cost implications and identify potential savings in cloud infrastructure.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in Microsoft Azure and broader cloud trends.

What you bring & who you are:

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure's services and architecture, including compute, networking, storage, databases, and security.
  • Solid grasp of cloud architecture principles and familiarity with Azure Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF).
  • Experience in a cloud architect role, demonstrating a track record of designing and implementing successful Azure-based solutions.
  • Strong DevOps skills, including CI/CD and infrastructure as code, with proficiency in tools like GitHub Actions, Terraform, and Ansible.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging with clients, delivering presentations, and consulting effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills, independence, reliability, and a creative approach to problem-solving.
  • A team player with a proven ability to work in agile teams.
  • Fluency in English, with German and/or Spanish being advantageous.
