Your role as a Security Solution Architect:

A Solution Architect within Atos primarily acts as the technical commercial expert in bid or development projects, translating customer requirements into a solution for a subset of the overall solution. Secondarily a Solution Architect assists Strategy and Growth with regards to new propositions, PoC’s and MvP’s and support current portfolio items. As such, the Cloud Security Solution Architect performs several activities. Willingness to travel is essential.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

COMMERCIAL: CONTRIBUTES TO THE DEAL OR PROJECT

  • Actively engages with the customer, proving that Atos has the required expertise and building a relationship with the customer based on trust and knowledge
  • Spots new business opportunities alone or together with other members of the commercial team and structures these by providing proper guidance (e.g. roadmaps, demo sessions, presentations, etc.)
  • Creates commercial texts and calculations for proposals and provides input to contract, SLA or project.

TECHNICAL: DESIGN SOLUTION IN AREA OF EXPERTISE

  • Primarily participates in (or sometimes leads) the solution process
  • Designs and calculates a consistent sub-set of the overall solution within the area of expertise, its starting points and conditions
  • Advises on risks of a chosen architecture/ technology including possible risk mitigations
  • Proactively identifies opportunities towards the customer to improve the proposed solution and/or to improve Atos’s profitability or serviceability
  • Provides input to Head of Strategy & Growth, (Sub) Business line manager or the Solution Manager/Transition Manager on the aspects within the project

COORDINATIVE: ALIGN WITH TEAM

  • Align the proposed technical architecture with portfolio and ensures a good fit with the overall solution towards the customer
  • Normally participates in multiple solution teams, which in turn are part of bid or project teams. For bids that require only one or two areas of expertise a Solution Architect may act as the Solution Manager
  • Obtains commitment from involved delivery parties on the assigned to scope of services, costs, risks and timing
  • Proactively teams with Head of Strategy & Growth, (Sub) Business line manager and Portfolio Management to develop new customer focused propositions and maintain current portfolio within area of expertise

FINANCIAL: GET PROFITABLE BUSINESS

  • Determines the solution costs within the area of expertise
  • Identifies financial risks and proposes steps to mitigate these risks
  • Identifies opportunities and proposes steps to realize these opportunities
  • Provides input on costs to the financial engineer and advises the financial engineer on mapping the Atos pricing model to customer requested pricing model

PORTFOLIO: IMPROVE OUR OFFERINGS

  • Support Head of Strategy and Growth in developing new and maintaining existing portfolio materials
  • Advises Head of Strategy and Growth on new technical developments within area of expertise
  • Shares findings on usability of our portfolio with Head of Strategy and Growth to improve, adjust or redefine our offerings
  • Write or provide input to white papers/ publications and other commercial material. Also assists in Marketing activities

COMPETENCE: SEEK AND SHARE KNOWLEDGE

  • Provide feedback of bid results and experiences towards other team members and management
  • Participate and/or provide input to the win/loss review
  • Proactively engage with staff in transition/delivery to discuss experiences with the aim to improve our bids
  • Extend current expertise and seeking new areas of expertise in line with customer demand, market and portfolio developments

Skills we'd like you to have:

  • Bachelor/ Master Degree in IT, Computer Sience, Electronics, Math or Physics
  • At least 3 - 5 years of experience in IT (cyber) security with proven experience in cyber security and recovery technology with various vendors. Experience in the areas SIEM, SOC, IPS/IDS.
  • Experience with security solutions in cloud deployments in AWS and/or Azure
  • Experience with Cyber Recovery products such as PowerProtect Cyber Recovery is considered favorable
  • Preferably you are SSCP and/or CISSP certified,
  • Understanding of IT architecture (e.g. TOGAF), Agile, Scrum
  • Experience with IT (outsourcing) business
  • Excellent communicative skills, persuasive, influential in presenting plans and ideas
  • Fluent in English
  • Experience with working in a commercial environment
